Light sword arrived packaged well in cardboard tube filled with packing paper. Removed the plastic tab separating the battery & wiring, pressed the button and....nothing. I took the 3 AA batteries out & tested them, they were all fine. Took out the 4 screws holding the sword together and discovered the solder points were held together with hot glue instead of solder and one of the wires had separated. I removed all of the hot glue and soldered the all of the wiring together, put the screws and batteries back in, and viola it worked just fine.I imagine most people would have returned this item or just tossed it into the trash as defective.
