No apple taste. Gave it to other people who didn’t like it. Was very disappointed!i love this red licorice-it is soft and very delicious. has a very good flavor.i did receive this in good condition and was on time. i do recommend this to all my friends and all. i will reorder this soon. i like the package it is easy to carry with you to work . i have looked and liked this for over a year -i will always eat this now ,it is sweet soft and very good.love wiley wallaby - it is always fresh and this company packaged it very secure. We have problems with ants in our yard around here and the delivery being on our porch even for a few minutes is exposed. But this company package was so good now ants got in the box.This licorice is awesome. The best I've ever had, however the expiration date was only one month away from when I received it. Not the fault of Wiley Wallaby I hope, but the distributor let me down big time. The licorice was a bit hard and not what I expected.Excellent flavor.
