Perfect for my needs. This thermometer got up to 600-degrees, a bit higher than the others I found. I use it to monitor the temperature of molten lead for casting toy soldiers. 550-600F is the ideal temperature, so this item works out fine. The lead does not stick to the probe and the price is right.
