If you want an expensive look, these are probably not for you. If you need something that doesn't cost a lot of money that will provide a clean, simple, contemporary solution for a general purpose room, these may be exactly right for you.I have seen these on other sites on garage floors, which would be a perfect application for them. I don't know how well they will do for deck or porch floors that are exposed to freeze/thaw or extreme heat. They may warp in extreme heat or crack in freeze/thaw conditions. These tiles are extremely light weight. They are a hard plastic, and you can tell they are plastic. Each tile has holes in it which provides dimension, texture, the illusion of color variation, but you can see through the holes to the floor beneath. You have to look really hard, but can see through them. Two sides of each tile have loops that the other two sides of each corresponding tile snap into. If you are planning to fit the tile flooring snuggly against a wall or need to have smooth, exterior/exposed edges, you will need to cut the loops off with much precision. This may or may not be a difficult task for someone who has the tools and knows what he/she is doing. Some may find them uncomfortable to walk on with no shoes. There doesn't appear to be a way to anchor them down to the surface they cover and they may slide away from areas they are supposed to otherwise fit snuggly against like baseboards or walls.Having said all that, I believe you will either love or hate these tiles, depending on your purpose for them. I'm not sure if I'm going to love them or hate them yet, but believe I will be able to find a use for them if they don't work out for my outdoor patio. Personally, I think they may make a more attractive wall application than a floor application for those who think "outside the box".I use for outside under my gazebo on a concrete slab. A 10x10 area. I find putting them together they randomly just don't want to line up correctly and bend the tabs. The best way was to turn it all over and work upside down so I could see where they don't line up. Was able to breeze through it using a rubber mallet and taking them all until they lock. Then with 2 people, pick it up like a carpet and flip it over. Also got the edge trim pieces. It seems durable and ready to clean. Can't speak for it's UV resistance since mine is covered. But other than the assembly process being a little frustrating, I think it was a great purchase.Update 2021: Has held up very well. Easy to clean and no issues after 2+ years. Dirt falls through which makes the surface easier to keep clean. But once a year, recommend moving the floor and power washing what gets trapped under it. We just drag it like a carpet to the side and back when find cleaning.Amazingly easy to install. We did a roughly 250 foot basement in an evening. They covered an ugly chipped floor just fine. The beige has a pinkish" cast to it but for us, not a big deal. We have installed a number of different floating Floor products over the years but none was as simple and easy as this. They delivered ahead of schedule. It was pouring rain on delivery day and the awesome drive hand carried each of the many boxes around to our covered back porch. Nice! Overall, pretty pleased. This product has worked great for solving our problem. We live in AZ, and moved into a house with a pool with mostly rock yard. We wanted some sort of temporary patio we could expand the small pool decking for functionality without spending a ton of money. We needed to consider how hot something gets in the sun, and how slippery when wet. We bought two packages of this, removed the rock in the area we were placing them, and leveled it to some degree. It's a great little patio area we put two large lounge chairs and small tables. It's pretty comfortable to step on barefoot, and looks decent (blends in nicely with the surrounding rock). We were very happy to find an economical solution that appears should hold up the couple years we wanted it for. It was pretty easy to assemble also (a rubber mallet on a firm surface had it all together in maybe 15 minutes).Awesome product would highly recommend. Easy to install and the two color shaded pattern gives the finish look a rather rich look to it all. Feels good to walk on even in bare feet. Keeps things dry with the vented water drainage allowing quick drying of the surface underneath them. We used them in our wet room/laundry room in our basement and we absolutely love them.We use these to improve our deck floor. There is no more need to sweep water after rain! It looks very nice! We enjoy these block tiles a lot!Absolutely love these tiles! My patio looks so much better and softer now! It took me some time to install them because I did the whole porch but everybody love it! It drains the rain water very good too and not messyNot only was this one of the most affordable options, I particularly like it because of the tight pattern, which feels just a bit better on the foot and looks a little more like a solid floor. Yet drains just as well. We use it in our handicap showers and the changing area right next to them.
